Compass Birmingham MHST is an early intervention mental health and emotional wellbeing service. The service delivers evidenced based interventions for children and young people with mild to moderate mental health needs.
It is part of the MHST Trailblazer Programme, which has been commissioned following the ‘Transforming Children and Young People’s Mental Health Care Provision: A Green Paper’ (2017).
You will need to demonstrate in your application that you have a nationally recognised mental health qualification meeting the requirements of the MHST training examples include EMHP, CWP, mental health nurse, psychotherapy or social work qualification which must be registered with the appropriate governing body, e.g. BABCP or NMC or an equivalent and a minimum of 18 months experience working therapeutically with children and young people.
Applicants must have excellent communication skills and be able to network with other agencies as central to the role.
You must possess a full driving licence and have access to a vehicle, or be able to commute efficiently between sites and schools. An enhanced level DBS check is required for this role.
