About The Role

Exciting Opportunity to Lead and Shape Mental Health Services for Young People!

We are looking for a passionate, dynamic and values led Team Leader to provide operational leadership within our Mental Health Support Team (MHST). In this role, you'll lead and supervise a talented team of professionals, ensuring the safe and effective delivery of services to children and young people with complex needs.

You'll play a vital part in coordinating care, making critical interventions, and maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and discretion. This is a fantastic opportunity to take a hands-on approach to mental health support while leading a team dedicated to making a difference.

As a Team Leader, you'll work closely with colleagues to build strong, collaborative partnerships with educational settings, driving the development and success of our MHST services. You will have the chance to influence and innovate, contributing to a high-quality, child and family-focused mental health and wellbeing service.

If you're ready to take on a leadership role that will allow you to grow your career, support a dedicated team, and shape services for children, young people, and families, we would love to hear from you!

Please note although this post is advertised for full-time hours (37 per week), we would, however, consider applicants who would opt for a flexible working pattern.

About You

We’re hoping that you're a passionate, values driven, and dynamic professional who wants to play an integral role in supporting our Mental Health Support Team (MHST) as a Team Leader. This is an exciting opportunity to lead innovative mental health services that empower children, young people, and families. If you’re ready to use your leadership skills and mental health expertise to make a lasting impact, we’d love to hear from you.

You’ll bring:

  • A relevant degree (e.g., social work, psychology, nursing) and registration with a professional body (e.g., HCPC, NMC).
  • A supervision qualification or a willingness to complete one.
  • Accredited training in evidence-based treatments, ideally with BABCP Accreditation.
  • Experience delivering CBT, providing supervision, and working with children and young people with complex needs.
  • A proven ability to manage teams, work collaboratively in multi-disciplinary settings, and influence positive change.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, Mental Health Law, and risk management strategies.
  • Analytical skills, workload planning, strong IT skills and a commitment to using data to enhance services.

You should be flexible, solution-focused, and passionate about inclusive practice. A driving license and access to transport are essential for this role (for individuals who cannot drive due to a disability, we can consider accessibility options i.e. provided via Access to Work etc).

Join us and help shape the future of mental health support!
