About The Role

Looking to make a meaningful difference in the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people?

We’re seeking an enthusiastic and forward-thinking Supervising Practitioner to join our team in Erewash .

As a key member of our service, you’ll deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to children and young people with mild to moderate mental health needs and provide expert clinical supervision to our dedicated Educational Mental Health Practitioners (EMHPs) and amazing trainees. These combined responsibilities create an incredible opportunity to deliver quality care while driving growth and development within the team.

Your rewarding work will focus on fostering resilience and wellbeing in educational settings, supporting schools to implement Whole School Approaches to mental health. You’ll deliver group interventions, provide specialist consultation and training to staff, and collaborate with school leaders to build their confidence in driving innovative mental health strategies.

With expertise in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and clinical governance, you’ll empower young people to thrive while maintaining high standards of care and safeguarding.

If you thrive in a collaborative team and are committed to making a lasting impact, join our supportive, forward-thinking organisation dedicated to continuous learning.

If you’re ready to lead and inspire in the field of mental health, apply now to help shape a brighter future for the next generation!

About You

You’ll bring a solid foundation in mental health or a related field, supported by a nationally recognised qualification such as EMHP, CWP, mental health nursing, psychotherapy, or social work.

This must meet the MHST training requirements and be registered with the appropriate governing body, such as BABCP or NMC. With at least two years of experience working therapeutically to support the emotional health and wellbeing of children and young people, you’ll have a proven ability to deliver evidence-based interventions and achieve meaningful outcomes.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has a Postgraduate Certificate in supervision or management (or a willingness to undertake this qualification).

  • Demonstrates expertise in CBT-informed interventions and clinical supervision, ideally in education or community settings.

  • Is skilled in risk assessment, safeguarding, and collaborative work with diverse stakeholders.

  • Possesses excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.

  • Holds a full driving licence and access to a vehicle (or equivalent).

Desirable attributes include mentorship experience, leadership in children’s services, and working in a skill-mixed team. A postgraduate therapeutic qualification or equivalent experience, particularly in low-intensity CBT, is highly valued.

If you’re ready to inspire and innovate within mental health services, join us and make a lasting impact on the futures of children and young people. Apply now!
