About The Role

Are you ready to help shape a future where every child thrives?

At Compass, our mission is to transform the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people in education. We’re seeking a passionate Holistic Wellbeing Worker to join our dynamic Mental Health Support Team (MHST).

MHSTs lead prevention and early intervention, working within schools to build resilience and provide tailored support for mild to moderate mental health needs. As part of the team, you’ll contribute to a Whole School Approach (WSA) to mental health, supporting and empowering educators to embed sustainable wellbeing strategies across schools and colleges.

In this rewarding role, you’ll deliver evidence-based interventions, advise school staff, and ensure young people remain engaged in education while accessing the support they need. Collaborating closely with specialist services, you’ll help connect students and families to appropriate resources, making a lasting difference.

You’ll also deliver workshops, assemblies, and group sessions, lead 1:1 interventions, and champion safeguarding and best practices around consent and capacity. By fostering partnerships with schools and stakeholders, you’ll help create a culture where mental health thrives.

If you're passionate about making mental health support accessible, meaningful, and lasting, this is your chance to create real, lasting impact.

About You

We are seeking a passionate individual committed to empowering children, young people, and families to thrive. As a Holistic Wellbeing Worker, you’ll bring expertise, creativity, and compassion to this impactful role. We also require you to have:

A qualification in mental health or working with children and young people (e.g., Diploma in Youth Work, Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, or NVQ Level 4).

Experience working with children, young people, and families, particularly in education, mental health, or community settings.

Knowledge of safeguarding, risk management, and consent issues, including Gillick competence.

Ability to deliver 1:1 therapeutic interventions and group workshops for children and families.

Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.

Excellent organisational skills to manage tasks effectively.

Access to transport and willingness to travel to community locations.

Desirable qualities include experience in holistic wellbeing practices, delivering workshops, or working with vulnerable groups. A background in monitoring outcomes or contributing to innovative projects is a plus. These would help you thrive in the role but aren't dealbreakers.

We value open-minded, non-judgemental individuals who are passionate about reducing the impact of weight of the various stigmas children & young people can encounter.

Sounds like you? Let's talk.
