About The Role

You know that moment when you look at a system or process and think, there has to be a better way? We are looking for someone with the experience and influence to do something about it.

As our Head of Information Governance & Systems, you will have the opportunity to influence how we work across Compass. You will lead our approach to Information Governance, health records, clinical and corporate systems, business intelligence and reporting, making sure they are secure and compliant, but also genuinely useful to the people relying on them.

Working with senior leaders and operational teams, you will shape how we use data and systems to support better decisions and stronger services. You will influence future developments, challenge existing ways of working and help turn good ideas into practical improvements across the organisation.

As our Information Governance Lead, you will be a trusted source of advice when things get complex, while leading and developing a team that supports colleagues across Compass.

You can choose to work remotely or from our York office, with occasional travel for meetings and other work related activities when needed.

This is your chance to bring your experience, challenge our thinking and have a genuine say in what comes next.

About You

You will bring strong experience across Information Governance, health records and clinical and non-clinical systems, along with the confidence to work with colleagues at every level. You can make sense of complex information, communicate it clearly and know when to advise, influence or challenge.

You are also a people focused leader. You empower, build trust, support others to develop and create an environment where people feel confident contributing their ideas and expertise.

Essential criteria

  • Degree level education or substantial relevant experience
  • Experience managing clinical and non-clinical systems
  • Strong Information Governance and health records experience
  • Experience influencing organisational change
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Experience using data and systems to improve performance
  • Knowledge of UK GDPR, Data Protection legislation and Information Governance
  • Strong analytical, communication and influencing skills

Experience within healthcare, the NHS or third sector, EPR systems, external system providers or DSPT would be an advantage.

There is real opportunity here to put your experience to work, try better ways of doing things and see the difference your thinking makes across Compass.
