Compass Phoenix works with children and young people aged 9 – 19 (and up to 25 for those with special educational needs or disabilities) who may benefit from receiving early help and prevention work in relation to mild to moderate emotional wellbeing and mental health issues.
The aim of the service is to improve outcomes for children and young people in relation to their emotional wellbeing and mental health by strengthening the range of mental health support available and helping them to make sustainable lifestyle changes that will improve their long-term health, resilience and emotional wellbeing, and equip them to reach their potential.
We also work with school and college staff to build their confidence and knowledge of approaches to support the emotional wellbeing and mental health needs of their pupils and students.
Due to maternity leave, an opportunity has arisen to work within the highly innovative Compass Phoenix team. The post will be mainly working from home with some travel to venues across North Yorkshire to deliver training when required.
Working alongside colleagues who deliver direct one-to-one or group work interventions to children and young people our Training and Consultation Workers support schools and colleges across North Yorkshire to apply a whole-school approach to emotional wellbeing and mental health by providing a flexible offer of workforce development and training to schools in relation to children and young people’s mental health.
