About The Role

Are you looking for a meaningful way to give back and make a real difference in the lives of children, young people, and families? As a Volunteer Administrator, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs), ensuring that young people receive the right help, at the right time, in the right place.

You’ll provide essential administrative support to our dedicated practitioners, helping to manage referrals, treatment lists, and key business functions. From taking phone calls to assisting with service development, your contribution will directly enhance the impact of our mental health and wellbeing services.

This is a flexible opportunity – volunteer remotely or join a local team in person. Whether you bring existing skills or are keen to develop new ones, this role offers a fantastic chance to grow, gain valuable experience, and support a service that truly matters.

Our trusted, forward-thinking MHSTs deliver early intervention within schools and colleges across Barnsley, working closely with young people, families, and education professionals. By joining us, you’ll be part of an innovative and collaborative organisation that’s shaping the future of mental health support.

Your time and skills could change lives. Step forward, get involved, and be the reason a young person receives the support they need. Apply today!

About You

You’re a motivated and adaptable individual who thrives in a busy office or customer service environment. With a keen ability to multi-task and meet deadlines, you’ll play a key role in supporting the smooth running of our services.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Is highly organised, with good administration and IT skills
  • Is proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable handling digital tasks
  • Has a keen eye for detail and works with accuracy and efficiency
  • Can prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Maintains professionalism and discretion, particularly when handling sensitive and confidential information
  • Understands the importance of data protection regulations and follows them diligently
  • Has a proactive and flexible approach, ready to adapt to the needs of the team

An interest in social media would also be an advantage, helping to share our message, celebrate successes, and promote our work.

Above all, we are looking for someone who aligns with our values of integrity, valuing each individual, being solution focussed, whilst being consistent and reliable—someone who is committed to working collaboratively, supporting others, and always striving to make a positive impact.

If you are proactive, adaptable, and eager to be part of a values-driven team, we’d love to hear from you!
