Join Compass and become part of a pioneering team providing vital Mental Health Support Teams (MHST) across NE Lincolnshire. We are seeking dedicated individuals to train as Education Mental Health Practitioners (EMHPs), delivering high-quality, evidence-based services that transform the mental health and emotional wellbeing of children, young people, and families.

As a Trainee EMHP, you will undertake a fully supported year of remote study with Sheffield University, working towards a Post Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Practice in Education Settings (Level 7).

Alongside your academic journey, you’ll gain hands-on experience within our service, delivering short-term, low-intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) informed interventions. These practical skills will equip you to support CYP aged 5-19 with challenges like anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, emotional regulation, and adjusting to change.

At end of your training, you’ll possess the expertise, knowledge, and confidence to make a lasting impact as a fully qualified EMHP. This role offers the chance to shape young lives while advancing your career in a supportive and innovative environment.

Training salary £ 24,679 p.a. following successful completion of the Post Graduate Diploma salary will rise to Band E starting at £31,031  p.a.

• With at least two years of experience working with children, young people, and families, you bring practical knowledge of the education system and a genuine commitment to helping others thrive.

• You hold a degree or the ability to study at degree level and are a self-motivated learner, capable of setting goals and navigating pathways to achieve them.

• As travel to schools is essential, you’ll hold a valid driving license and access to a vehicle. If driving isn’t an option due to a disability, we’ll work with you to explore solutions such as Access to Work support.

• The ideal candidate must understand the commitment this role entails, particularly while pursuing the Post Graduate Diploma. Balancing service responsibilities with academic studies is crucial to earning the qualification and becoming a certified EMHP.
